Harmony's lesson is one of the fundamental, not only in Greek conservatories and musical studies departments of universities but in any music academy or university department of musical studies in the world. Its knowledge is imperative and not to be, since much of the building called western music is based on harmony. Returning to our country and reading what is to be taught in conservatories, based on the curriculum drawn up by the Ministry of Culture, we find that the knowledge of obligatory harmony is "exhausted" after a three-year follow-up. The student who is interested in deepening the knowledge of harmony should attend for three years the courses leading to the graduation of the same degree. As is easily understood, harmony is a cornerstone of the music education of Greek students.
