Φίλιππος Νάκας Ασημακόπουλος - Το Βιβλίο της Κιθάρας Vol.12 Book for Classical Guitar

The Guitar Book No.12 is the final volume in this series of teaching manuals for the guitar, the purpose of which is to provide a thorough and painstaking classification of and quotation of excerpts from the pieces used by students of the instrument. Coming some years after the first volume in the series, this present publication contains works for final-year students and graduates preparing to sit for their Solo Diploma examinations.

Unfortunately it has not been possible to include in the series  works by modern composers (Villa-Lobos, Rodrigo, Tedesco, Turina, Brouwer, Dyens, etc.), the rights of which have already been granted to other publishers. However, this gap has been filled most successfully through the participation of several very talented modern Greek composers, some of them well-established and others new to scene, whose enthusiastic response in dedicating pieces especially for publication in these volumes means that "The Guitar Book" series contains more than 50 new Greek compositions.

Over 300 pieces were finally included in this "Encyclopedia", and there can be no doubt that these compositions will fill a major gap in the international guitar repertoire.
